Ghosts of Highway 20 (solo)
Lake Charles (duo)
Side of the Road (trio)
Can’t Let go (Lucinda notes that Patti Smith is in town for two shows on the 30th and the 31th and that the two share a tour manager, so Andrew will only be in house tonight and tomorrow)
Car Wheels (Lu talks much about topics geographical, noting the cold weather in Minn. where she has been over the holidays, then suggesting she would like a “centralized location” to live in and that she hasn’t been back to her LA home in months–she says Butch and David are still in LA but Stuart in Nashville, implying the Midwest or South might be her future home)
West Memphis
Drunken A
Those Three Days
Are You Alright (for her brother Robert, who has “escaped to a cave”)
Knowing (Jack Kerouac reference prior)
Can’t Close the Door on Love
Dust
Changed the Locks
Protection
Essence
Foolishness
Joy

December 30, 2016 at 12:12 am #55488tonygKeymasterFrom Tom:
Lu was thrilled to be back with her band/crew family for these last four shows of a long and rollercoaster 2016. She hasn’t played this room with the band before so there was a little bit of a feeling it all out at the beginning -as she says in Can’t Close The Door, “a little rough around the edges” but not in a bad a way, because the vibe in the room was really great and that carried everything. You could kind of sense that there was an energy that was waiting to be lit, so to speak—you could really begin to feel that on a great version of Those Three Days. That was where things started to jell. We’ve been talking about pulling out a few lesser played songs for these 4 shows and last night it was The Knowing which she has been wanting to get back into the rotation for a long time. We all feel it’s one her great overlooked songs. She loves singing it and she really dug in on it. Some guy yelled “this song sucks” in a quiet middle section of Dust, I don’t think Lu heard him but the band might’ve because they really tore into the outro and from there it was off to the races. There were a lot of smiles backstage after the show -everyone was just really happy that “the band was back together”.

Not long after that guy yelled that, he was having some back & forth with his group about “you need to go home” and I heard applause in the back, which I took to be people around him cheering his departure.
Figured Lu would be mining the catalog as these shows go on, hope I can get back tomorrow night.
