I *think* that Lu participated in Jimmy Page’s Founders Award ceremony and benefit at the Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle last night?? I’m not finding press mentioning Lu, so I thought the collective wisdom of the FF would be the place to ask…
“Page will be honored on November 19th with the EMP Museum’s Founders Award as part of an annual fundraiser for the institution’s youth programs. Kim Thayil of Soundgarden, Jerry Cantrell and William DuVall of Alice in Chains, former Black Crowe Rich Robinson, Brian Wheat of Tesla, Lucinda Williams and Page’s former bandmate in The Firm — and Bad Company frontman — Paul Rodgers are among the guest performers, while Seattle-bred Guns n’ Roses bassist Duff McKagen and drummer Barrett Martin of Mad Season and Screaming Trees anchor the house band.”

November 20, 2015 at 6:45 pm #54704vmorrisParticipantWell, I answered my own question… RollingStone.com said that Lu was scheduled to perform, but did not. I hope everything is okay. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/jimmy-page-jams-rock-and-roll-with-nirvana-gnr-members-at-emp-tribute-20151120

Not a bumper supporting cast in my view, but I am surprised at the non-trek.

There was just no way to take three days in Seattle and get everything else done before leaving. The opportunity was too big to pass up. Sounds like it was a great show.

Despite rumors to the contrary, I guess there’s only so much of Lu to go around 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving, Viv p.s I’m happily remembering the three great shows at Nashville City Winery at this time last year…

A Lu appearance in Seattle that I would have missed it had it happened..Never again will I not stay on top of Lu news… ; )
November 23, 2015 at 1:20 am #54709vmorrisParticipantDo not despair SamishSeaMike! The EMP award ceremony was $10,000 per table and $1,600 for a single ticket, all of which immediately sold out anyway. I had looked into going home to Seattle early for the show (I’ll be there Thanksgiving week), but quickly discovered the event was way above my pay grade. My big Lucinda miss was when I was in Vermont and, due to my poor geography skills, didn’t realize her show was 57 miles away in New Hampshire.
