WEst Memphis
I Lost It (“We’re getting farther South; y’all know what I’m talking about”)

Ghost of Highway 20 {solo} (Lu mentions it’s the title track of the Jan. 2016 release, then mentions cities like Vicksburg and Macon and Jackson from her girlhood which are on that highway: on a second listen, the fine religious diction near the end is prominent, also intimations early in the song of a rough childhood)
When I look at the World
Lake Charles (duo: Lu references her “husband/manager or manager/husband Tom, depending on the context” and how he never tires of putting it on the setlist, and how folks always love it)
2 Kool
Fruits of My Labor
Are You Down
Changed the Locks
Still I Long for Your Kiss
Righteously

I had guessed (although it may have already been known) when I first heard the song that Ghost of Hwy 20 might be the title track of the upcoming album.. Just too great a title. Can’t wait.

What a surprising night. For one thing, I think we had the bus parked facing in the wrong direction. Judging from the viewport from the bus it seemed like it was going to be a pretty relaxed Sunday night crowd -and also had thought this was a sit-down theater. Well neither of those assumptions were anywhere near accurate. It was a somewhat tired Lu that walked out on stage and the reception she got before she sang a note changed the night -you could see her physical demeanor shift instantly. Beautiful moment. As Lu put it “ this seems like a Sat. night , not a Sunday”. And a great Saturday night at that. Good to get I Lost It, a rare appearance of Still I Long For Your Kiss and an excellent version of Fruits Of My Labor back in the set. The new song, Ghosts Of Highway 20 continues to be stunning. After it was all over Lu was wondering if we had ever been there before and when told that we hadn’t, at least in the last 10 years, she said “well, why the hell not? Good question.
