    With its Pomona show cancelled, the Kenneth Brian Band played a 1-hour set at the resident Thursday night series of Honky Tonk Hacienda at the El Cid bar in East Hollywood.

    The KBB featured an unplugged configuration with Kenneth Brian on mellow electric guitar, Lillie Mae Rische on vocals and fiddle, and Frank Rische on acoustic guitar. No bass, drums, or percussion.

    A truly beautiful set, with the highlight being Lillie Mae’s “Wash Me Clean” from her “Rain on the Piano” album.

    And before anyone asks, Lucinda was not in attendance.

    Very nice catch, Paul. As I recall when I first saw them at last years “world” tour at McCabes, they played (by room necessity) a stripped down set.. very enjoyable. Now that’s it’s officially an “annual” event, I am going to plan to take the time next year for a trip down for the tour. Enjoy.
