I see that tickets went on sale February 13 for the March 26 show at the Historic Carolina Theater in Greensboro, but I am having trouble buying tickets online. When I click on the event from the Theater website to “buy tickets” the only tickets available are for events in February….can’t access tickets for any shows in March. Anyone else have this problem or suggestion? I’ll call the box office Monday but I’m worried that all the good seats will be gone by then.

This may seem strange but, try linking to the theater’s home page through the theater’s Facebook page. It worked for me. Good luck

I figured it out and succeeded in getting two orchestra pit seats.

    Rainydayman,

I’ll be in the PIT also! Please, let’s try to get people to stand and dance! I’ve found that the pit at the Greensboro Theatre is an odd experience because it’s just so weird being in that (relatively) large space sitting down. The sound isn’t great that close, but the proximity otherwise makes up for it! Vivian

Now THAT was fun. Great show. Lots of new songs. Vivian, it was great meeting you. I loved the pit.

Rainydayman, Nice meeting you, too! Also nice to chat with DDinNJ again after meeting in Nashville in Nov. Lu fans are good people 🙂

I have no setlist to offer because I took a more zen, or holistic approach to the evening and didn’t keep track. One highlight for me and my friend was BUTTERCUP! We all know that guy, and have dated that guy… Also, I loved hearing Are You Alright. It left me in tears for many reasons — once again, Lucinda mines the universal in her so very personal lyrics. The last time I heard it live was also in Greensboro and Lu introduced it by saying that a veteran had requested it because he takes a boom box to the grave of a buddy who died in combat, and he plays the song to him. Many different ways into that song. My friend was moved to tears last night by KBB’s Goodbye West Virginia, a tribute to Kenneth’s grandmother, that reminded my friend of the passing of her own mother. Those moments are what music, especially live music, and especially Lu and KBB, do for us and keep us coming back to worship, pay homage, rock out, escape, cry, experience catharsis and the entire panoply of our lives. Many people in the crowd were yelling “Thank You!” and I hope the message was received on stage! Still riding the experience, Viv (p.s. I understand that KBB’s new album is mixed and may be released in the next few months! Breakdown will be played loud and often in my car.)

Good to hear from my fellow ASU alum, my Raleigh MFA friend, and the Garden State contingent. But does anyone have a setlist?

Not sure how reliable this is stoger, but it’s from Setlist FM and has been edited 23 times.

It is too difficult to add to Vivian’s post, because she gets it so right, and states it so beautifully. Thank you, for the set list.

Thanks, lwj. I guess Greensboro was a one-off for you, Dawn? Good to see “Greenville” in there–though it’s about neither nearby Greenville, SC or Greenville, NC.

Yes, a lucky business trip to Greensboro. Greenville was introduced as written about Greenville, Miss., but could be about Greenville anywhere.

Thanks for posting the setlist. And nice review Vivian. And I was there in September 2006 when Lu introduced Roger the Viet Nam vet before launching into “Are You All Right?” I enjoyed seeing the songs off the new album for the first time. “When I Look At The World” was special with just Lu on acoustic guitar.

From Tom:Good to be back at the Carolina Theater where we’ve had some great memories in the past. Another wonderful audience -but just like Chattanooga this show seemed to be very unadvertised, which is very frustrating. We had request for Buttercup which hadn’t been played for a long time but it made it in there tonight and sounded great -first time it had been played with Stuart so I think it will show up more often. I think that brings the song count for this tour up to 79 or 80. Going to have to go back and look and get the count up to date. Thanks Greensboro.
