John Mayer 10-5-13

What a difference a day makes. Much bigger crowd at the Hollywood Bowl tonite but lifeless, I thought. And the show did not have the spark it did last night. Some songs were swapped out for new ones and unfortunately all the songs that Doug wailed on last night were replaced. Even the other guitarist got less action as John Mayer took center stage and stayed there. Plus there is an 11 o’clock curfew and the show didn’t start until almost 9 so it was a much shorter show as well. The other guitarist , Zane, was wearing a black cape and has his long hair tied up behind his head. I did tell him after the show that he was great, of course. Doug played a lot of slide guitar.
I saw the entire opening act this time. Philip Philips I guess was on some contest show like the Voice or whatever. I found him to be an overexcited Dave Matthews wannabe.

So I have no concert tickets in hand until Pappy and Harriets! 8)
