I’ll be at Birmingham Town Hall tonight and am really hoping Lucinda sings Lake Charles – it moves me to tears every time I hear it, her voice wrings so much emotion from the words.

Well did she ? Am hoping she’ll play it at Liverpool tonight – then I can die happy !

She did ! About the 4th number, a great version, with a little different phrasing from the record at times, but just as beautiful. I could have gone home satisfied there and then but the rest of the show was brilliant as well. Who needs drums, keyboards etc when three people can sound like that !

The Springsteen track (Factory) was great too, I half expected Bruce to wander on and duet, but that would have been just TOO perfect !

A wonderful show, I’m sure you’ll enjoy tonight in Liverpool.

thanks, dwp: can you fill in the gaps between “Lake Charles” and the Bruce cover with some more titles, an approximate setlist?

    Hi stoger,

Sorry I didn’t write anything down, so all I can offer is the tracks I remember, but mostly probably not in the right order.

Second number was Metal Firecracker, and the others included Passionate Kisses, Drunken Angel, Copenhagen, Joy, I Lost It, Overtime, Honey Bee, Those Three Days, Real Live Bleeding Fingers And Broken Guitar Strings, Jailhouse Tears, Essence and Get Right With God.

Maybe somebody else will remember a few more.

Not bad: 17 is within a few of her max, I would think. No tour debuts, seemingly–glad you enjoyed it.

Well that’s 7 that she didn’t play in Liverpool – looks like I should have gone to both shows !
