“Everything but the Truth” it says LW’s song is. I suggest we need the full story. 🙂

I can provide only the partial story, but it seems those four words constituted one of the lone Ranger´s mottos to live by. Perhaps TO can enlighten us further.

I’m a little slow on the uptake with the background on this song and what Stogie is referring to but here it is finally. Lucinda wrote and recorded this song in fever pitch just a couple days before we left for Europe so that makes it the newest of all the new songs. As Mr. Stoger mentioned and nearly remembered, the lyrics were inspired and adapted from the Lone Ranger’s personal credo -his “ten commandments”. The back story is that when the Lone Ranger people reached out just a few days before we were leaving for Europe, they said they had a list of songs (with the themes of the LR, truth, justice friendship etc) that were approved to be recorded by the artists for the cd. That didn’t prove to be true but that’s a different story. With leaving day fast approaching Lucinda decided to write an original song so I went out on the internet and did some research on Mr. Ranger and stumbled upon his mission statement. As I read thru it I knew Lucinda was going to relate to it- and sure enough, when she read thru it she put it down and said “here’s the song right here”. And two days later it was done. It’s one she’s really proud of and a new favorite of hers. Personally I think her vocal is really ferocious.
That’s the story and I’m sticking to it.
