I thought this was excellent Lu reference in an unexpected place. I picked up the book “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed (I’m a fan of her column Dear Sugar) and the first review of the book on the inside cover says: “Pretty much obliterated me. I was reduced, during the book’s final third, to puddle-eyed cretinism. . . . As loose and sexy and dark as an early Lucinda Williams song. . . .” – Dwight Garner, The New York Times

Now, I’m REALLY looking forward to this read! 🙂

Cheryl Strayed has judged a couple of cnf submission contests I’ve run across lately, so this is now the perfect pretext for me to read her own stuff.
