A general interview from a dimly lit bar in Brighton UK entitled ” Maverick Singer Not Afraid of the Dark”
Lots of stuff covered in the article including missing out on motherhood to worrying about being a homeowner.
A brief excerpt.Music executive Tom Overby is now her manager as well as her husband. They have a house in the Hollywood Hills “with a beautiful view and a pool.”
But even in her late-blooming contentment, a bit of the old restless Lucinda lives on.
“Part of me is a perpetual adolescent,” Williams says. “I just don’t like the responsibility of being a homeowner. There’s so much to worry with – you know, like the air-conditioning broke, or we need a new coffee table.
“I always thought it would be really cool to live in a hotel – you have room service and maid service, and I don’t like to have to worry with mundane things. I never make a plan. Tom is the one with a plan.”
Enjoy the read.

I especially relate to this part…
Her concerts give the impression of being in a hall full of people, each of whom imagined she would be singing exclusively for them, and is rather peeved to find anyone else in the audience.I’ve never seen her live but this is how I feel about her music.

I hope you get to see her live. It’s the best bad to the bone, spiritual show one can experience.

It has become a bucket list thing for me now. The next time she’s in the NY-NJ area, I am there. Also, I want to go alone because I don’t want to share the experience with anyone else. lol
I wonder if there’s a chance she’ll play in my town of South Orange, NJ. We have a relatively new performance arts center (SOPAC) that would be perfect for her. Steve Earle recently played here so it could be possible for Ms. Williams.
