    What is the story behind this song? Who is it based on?

    Not sure but it was originally called Drivin’ Down A Dead End Street until she realized that Bob Dylan had a song with a similar title.

    one of her attempts at topical songs, no wonder she subconsciously led herself to a dylan title.

    Pretty sure I remember Lucinda saying it was based off a story she read in the newspaper (I think in Texas) about a young man who killed his family. He never got enough love.
