A preview article from The Morning Call.

Here is an excerpt from the article that looks very interesting.

“I guess maybe my name means something on somebody’s album,” she says. “I love to help other artists, and it’s fun doing those kind of outside, one-off projects, ’cause it kind of takes you out of your own head into somebody else’s world.”
Her frequent collaborations led her and Overby to have a recent conversation about compiling them for her own disc.
“We’re able to take that stuff that I’m doing with other people and if we want to use any of that stuff later, we can,” she says. “There’s so much great stuff now, that we were talking about putting a CD of them out or something — a double CD of all the best ones.”

Nice venue—terrific sound, friendly staff, $5 beers. Maybe halfish full. Buick 6 finished their opening set with a cool instrumental of Passionate Kisses.

Wish I were “on to the Keswick” too–thanks for posting. Couple of relatively unperformed gems off Essence, I note, and that instrumental version of “P K” sounds attractive–when is Lu going to walk on early to do the funked-up “Well Well Well” with the boys? Ah, to be in the Keystone State about now. . .

“Those Three Days” was perhaps the highlight of the night. The song is a Dylanesque put-down of a former lover, and Williams’ phrases snapped out in sneers, her voice sometimes growling. The band finished big and hot, and Williams replied to the crowd’s cheers by saying, “Everybody seems to like that song.”

there’s one reason why everybody adores those three days – and it ain’t a happy reason.
