    Howdy,
I would be most appreciative is somebody could give me some idea of what to expect from the current concert. I’m planning on surprising my wife with some tickets for the Athens, Ga show. We have listened to Lucinda (worked some of her tunes into our home picking) for many years and admire all of her permutations. However, we particularly like the Fillmore project and I’m curious as to whether any of this somewhat “harder” music is featured. Is she touring with a full band, etc? Thanks for any help!

Well Mootsman, nobody seems to be jumping in here, so I will tell you what I know. Lucinda is touring with a band; a guitar player named Blake, a bass player named David, and a drummer named Butch. She will play around a 90 minute show and will do a cross section of her catalogue; folky numbers, harder rock numbers, blues and delta blues. Oldies and stuff from her latest record. Maybe she will do a solo song, maybe not. I don’t know if there will be an opening act for the next leg or who it will be. Every once is a while someone from the audience is dragged up to the stage and executed for no reason. Ooops, never mind that.

    Have a good time.

I would also add that Lu doesn’t have a “set” set list every night. She mixes it up quite a bit each night. There are usually a few songs that she’ll repeat, but she does a real good job keeping us “junkies” who go to multiple shows in the course of a week or two satisfied with a good variety…
