HA! I was JUST mentioning in recent conversation my first date with my husband was a Don Henley show at Riverbend Music Center. He puts on a FANTASTIC show…I would love to see this!

    Nice find, Lafayette.
OUCH ! Those scalper prices for the Greek Theatre. Ticketmaster will eventually be offering the tickets at, hopefully more reasonable $.
I would have thought Tom Overby (Nee Inside Job) would have leaked the news first. 😆

Inside Job is the fourth studio album by Don Henley, released in 2000, and his last album of all-new material to date.
The song “Goodbye to a River” was apparently named after the book of the same title by John Graves. In the album’s liner notes Henley wrote: “Respect and gratitude to fellow Texan, John Graves, for his inspirational writing – Goodbye to a River (1960) and other books.” The album was the first solo album for Henley in 11 years, the album reached #7 on the charts and released two Adult Contemporary Tracks singles with “Taking You Home”, and “Everything’s Different Now”. “Taking You Home” was also released as a single on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #58.

Don Henley’s shows are typically not cheap. I checked another show of his on sale and the “upper rent” seats were $189.

Was debating whether to start a separate thread but i’ll just put this here for now. Keep in mind that most of these are all tentative at this point. There are many dates left to be confirmed and the majority of them will probably get done this week but some of the key shows are confirmed. Right now it’s looking like we will be starting 10/7 at Gruene Hall in Gruene Tx with Dallas and Houston after that. St. Louis and Little Rock are possibilities here. We will continue moving east thru the south with a quick stop at the AMA’s in Nashville -but no show there yet. After Nashville, Mobile, Birmingham and Oxford are in the picture. We will be at the Magnolia Festival in Live Oak,Fl on 10/21 and probably St. Petersburg on 10/19-these will be the first shows in Florida in several years. After that we start heading back north with Chattanooga and Athens and Norfolk possibly falling here. Then we head to Allentown and Philadelphia and Long Island. We will probably start to head back thru the midwest and west at that point. The finishing point will be the Fillmore in San Francisco on 11/19 & 20 and that will wrap up 2011.

On another note the idea right now is that these shows will be significantly different than the sets we played this summer with the plan being to have some surprises. Hopefully we can make that happen.

And yes, we will be opening for Don Henley on 9/17 at the Greek Theatre here in LA. I should have given a heads up on this show but it was a busy re-entry week from the road and this show just came up a little over a week ago so it happened very fast.

Thanks for the 411, TO! So exciting to see and I hope you squeeze a show in somewhere in Nashville!

I can say almost definitely there will not be a Lucinda show in Nashville during the AMA’s. I would put the chance at about 1 %.

And then a tour in Scandinavia would be good! 😮

Not very good odds. I’ll have to squeeze in a road trip and with all the cities you mentioned it looks like one or two will work. 😀

Little Rock or Dallas is close enough for me!

If you look on the far right upper corner of the poster wall pic.from The Fillmore, you will see a portion of the November, 2003 Live poster.
The 2 disc live CD set is one of my favorites.
Why not a Volume II Tom O. ?[attachment=0:z13m65h1]Fillmore Posters SF.jpg[/attachment:z13m65h1]

Not the fall tour Tom O. but the Feb. /12 Cayamo boat cruise question.
Will the boys in the band be on board too?

Looks like tour 2011 is going for a record # of shows.
    Thanks for the update.

Re: Gruen, TX-The oldest dance hall in Texas since 1878.
Tom, you are not kidding about bringing surprises this tour.
Just imagine having your dinner at Gruene Hall pre-concert while Lucinda is serenading you.
    See this.

Don Henley puts on a mediocre show at best…and at those prices? No way Jose.
And I have seen him solo and with the Eagles about a dozen times.

Yawn. Another same old, same old show he’s been doing forever. Only the prices have changed!
Anyone want to guess how many ‘Greatest Hits’ albums the Eagles have released?
I used to be a big fan until they sold out.
