I’ll probably get tased in the process. lolAugust 2, 2011 at 12:04 pm #47785LeftyParticipantGlad you got Mississippi, Parker. How did it sound? Was Bob “on fire”? 😉
August 3, 2011 at 2:31 am #47786parkercaParticipantFANTASTIC SHOW! The setlist was amazing, For me. I like a lot of these songs and getting Mississippi was icing on the cake. You can not go wrong seeing a show at the Ryman. I know it sounds corny but it is a religious experience.
Plus got the meet Jack White! On a side note: The Ryman security were relentless on cameras. I took a cell phone pic of my buddy between Leon and Bob’s set and got a bony finger in my shoulder telling me NO PHOTOS. I think that is a little ridiculous.
The Ryman setlist:
1. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat
2. It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue
3. Things Have Changed
4. Tangled Up In Blue
5. Beyond Here Lies Nothin’ (Bob on guitar)
6. Mississippi
7. High Water (For Charley Patton)
8. Sugar Baby
9. Highway 61 Revisited (Lukas Nelson on guitar)
10. Forgetful Heart
11. Thunder On The Mountain
12. Ballad Of A Thin Man(encore)
13. Like A Rolling Stone
14. All Along The Watchtower
15. Blowin’ In The WindAugust 4, 2011 at 5:30 pm #47787coffee4throadParticipantgreat setlist!
three great Love and Theft songs in a row…
glad to hear you had a great time.
make it over to Ernest Tubb’s?August 4, 2011 at 6:32 pm #47788parkercaParticipantI did. Great store. I saw Charlie Sexton and Tony made it over there also.
Saw them go into the Ryman with Ernest Tubb bags.August 5, 2011 at 12:02 pm #47791LeftyParticipanthttp://blogs.tennessean.com/tunein/2011/08/02/bob-dylan-signs-harmonica-onstage-for-young-springfield-fan/

CA ~ what did you think of Lukas Nelson on guitar?
August 5, 2011 at 6:19 pm #47790stogerParticipantSounds like it topped last year’s Nashville Municipal Auditorium show, Parker–the setlist looks a cut above. Hopefully, in his one token set of comments toward the audience, Bob did not mistakenly introduce his drummer as his bassist, a la 2010.
August 5, 2011 at 11:39 pm #47793parkercaParticipant@Lafayette I liked him on guitar. I think Charlie Sexton is better, but it was a nice change to Highway 61.
@Stoger I thought this was the best setlist I have seen in the last few years. I enjoy his newer songs just a much as some of his songs from the 60’s and 70’s. I was thrilled to get Mississippi. He seemed to be having a really good time. Before the last song, he and Tony were messing around on stage. Tony acted like he was pulling Bob back on stage while dylan was laughing. I have never seen Dylan interact like that with the band.
