    YES! SCORE!!!! *Pumps fist triumphantly in air* 😉

    I finally got a copy of this limited edition, 2 CD set from KGSR Austin. I have wanted one for a long time, not only for the obvious reason of the cover art, but also because it has the in-studio version of “Blue” on it that we discussed a while ago in this thread (the same version that is also on the In Touch With Lucinda Williams’ Essence CD that contains Lu’s whole KGSR guest appearance, interview included).

    As many of you probably already know, these KGSR Broadcasts CDs are produced in limited quantities and, when they sell out (which they always quickly do), that’s it – they are gone. I have seen used copies of this Vol. 9 one on eBay for upwards of $30 or $35, and I have always balked at the high prices. Well, I found a “like new” copy on Amazon Marketplace last week for only $16.48 & free shipping, so I ordered it. It came today and, while the jewel case was scatched up, the CDs are indeed in like-new condition, as are the liner notes & the “back card”. I carefully took apart the jewel case so as to not break the hinged two CD inner “holder”, and replaced the outher clear parts with parts from a brand-new jewel case and, voilà, it looks like it just came out of the shrink wrap. I am stoked! 😀

    Congratulations Tom on this rare find.
    As you remember, we had a heck of a lot of fun tracking down the best ever version of one of my top 5 of Lu’s “Blue” and , I feel honoured to have this version thanks to forum member Itchy Skin.
