I just saw on Facebook that the presale for the Macon, GA show (Thurs., July 28 at the Cox Capitol Theatre) started a few hours ago. The presale code is “Blessed”, but I didn’t need it when I ordered tickets. Here’s the site to order:

    See y’all at the show!

Oh well – the good seats right up front are gone now – I was out all day & just saw this. Really doesn’t make any difference though, because the “table” seating up front is $125 each, and the “cocktail” seating behind that is $100 a pop. 😯 I wouldn’t have been able to cough up that kind of cash even if I was first in line at the pre-sale, so it’s all good… 😉

It does indicate that the show is a benefit for the restoration of Capricorn Studios, so I reckon the higher than normal pricing is for a good cause!

That’s optimistic of you. My invoice includes a “Restoration Fee” of 50 cents per ticket, so I don’t think that explains the high ticket prices. There were still a few table and cocktail seats left when I found out the presale had started, but alas, the front of the balcony, at $50 a pop, was the best I could afford. It looks like a small theatre, so I’m guessing they’re all decent seats.

Here is an article from Macon, GA’s The Telegraph called “NewTown, Capricorn studios and Cox Capitol Theatre join forces” that mentions the upcoming Lu show…

Quick count of seating chart shows what..about 350 seats?

A little pricey, but maybe such a small venue will be beyond cool. I saw her at the Tabernacle in Atlanta several years ago and it was great.

I think I am going to try to go to the Macon concert, but I can’t find anyone else to commit…I guess I will just get in the dang car and go by myself! It will be an adventure …
