    Pieta and Carrie were excellent at McCabe’s in Santa Monica on Mother’s Day night Sunday. They were joined by Luke Jacobs on guitar for selected songs. Pieta sang for about an hour, and closed her set with Luke on guitar and Carrie playing fiddle. Carrie and Luke then played about an hour, and Pieta joined them for the encore.

    I was tempted to follow the tour to Anthology in San Diego on Tuesday night, but I didn’t like the Anthology concept of a supper club with crowded tables and chairs, and a mandatory purchase of overpriced cuisine. So, I stayed home in Los Angeles, and saw Pegi Young at the Hotel Cafe, per tonyg’s earlier thread.

    Come on Paul, I know you’re in Colorado, debating between tomorrow night’s Lu in Boulder and Carrie/Pieta in Denver, Swallowtail Club I believe it’s called, on Yale Ave.
