    Also, Emmy Lou has 2 new shows, starting on-sale later this week via Ticketmaster: Thursday, April 21, at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles, and Tuesday, April 26, at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City.

    Both shows are standing room, general admission, only.

    I’ll be going to see her in Greenfield, MA Jul 17- headlining, but some of the featured acts will be Wanda Jackson, Eilen Jewell and Patty Larkin. A fun, cheap 2 day affair. Saw LW there 2 summers ago…

    Sounds like a great bill, bob. I saw Emmy in November in Northampton, and Eilen in Greenfield last month. They were both outstanding! Enjoy the show.

    Emmylou Harris is fantastic. She has a concert in Amsterdam next week, but I decided not to go because I hate going to concerts alone 😛

    I just discovered Emmylou singing “Sweet Old World” with Lucinda as the writer and backup singer, with Neil Young singer, with a harp solo! Truly about the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard! I’m a Memphis girl who also lived in New Orleans for years…. Goin to Slidell!!

    I believe that was recorded at one of The Bridge School concerts in California. (Around 1999). It’s a beautiful version.

    Thanks for the clip, Lefty. The last time I saw Emmylou, she took her two dogs (who were touring with her) out on stage for the encore. The crowd was still on their feet cheering, and Emmy brought the dogs right up to the crowd where people were petting them. The dogs were relishing the limelight; was quite a sight.
