Just joined the forum. Getting ready to purchase tickets in 1 hour for the IC show on 2/18 at the Englert. Is LW going to have her band or just LW? I cannot find any info. Please help. Thank you!
January 3, 2011 at 5:25 pm #44958tonygKeymasterI think it’s a solo show. Have fun.

February 18, 2011 at 7:05 pm #44960LWjettaParticipantJust putting this thread at the top as we await reports from tonight’s sold out show at the Englert.
Best wishes to Lucinda, Tom O and Dylan on a great solo tour.

How many zeroes on that $ figure, Tom? I’ll collect that bet from you in the land of the Hoosier. But my tour debut day is coming soon, in a different midwestern state.

Dang. Well, that’s why I’m not a betting man…
(Notice I said I’d be “willing” to bet, not actually betting! I will buy you a Indiana beer, however…)

Can’t find any newspaper articles yet but at the risk of being ridiculed by stoger for looking at FB 馃槅
here are some comments-including a surprise appearance by Bo Ramsey.
路 After listening to Lucinda’s music for years…I finally got to see her live in Iowa City tonight. The show was amazing, even better than I thought it would be!!!o
I loved the solo stuff she did. Loved it that Bo Ramsey was there to lend some local support. The Englert Theater was full of Joy.
路 Iowa city show, Lucinda never sounded better!! Seriously, how’s that possible!?!?
路 Thank you Lucinda and Bo for making my heart sing tonight in Iowa City! You rock girl!!!路 Dylan Leblanc wrote on his FB the following;
路 Englert theatre was amazing.. Lucinda was none other than magical..

Lucinda Williams kicked off her tour to support her new album, “Blessed,” in Iowa City’s Englert Theater on February 18, 2011. Lucinda’s voice was simply amazing, and with just her guitar as accompaniment, there was nothing between Lucinda’s heart and the audience. Bo Ramsey, producer and musician on her “Essence” and “Car Wheels on a Gravel Road” albums joined Lucinda for several songs. This was the first time they had even seen each other in 10 years. A simply stunning night.
OK, Let’s add Bo and Lu’s “Honey Bee”

OK Again! one more edit.

Oh, could it be possible? Bo Ramsey as possible (permanent) guitarist?
