lwjQuick, convert that 79.50 figure to U.S. currency, lwj! Thanks for the scoop–and see you up front!
November 17, 2010 at 7:46 pm #44654tonygKeymasterMaybe that figure is in Canadian dollars?
I used to live in the suburbs of Toronto. Back then, one US dollar was worth about $1.30 or so in Canadian dollars. Plus it comes in cool colors.
Now its about $1.03. 🙄

Closing currency rate today, Stoger is $1.00 CDN=$0.97US.
That would be great to see you up front at Massey Hall. Have had the pleasure of meeting Forum members Ripley and Lafayette at concerts in the past. You certainly are one of the “veteran” Lu fans.
tonyg, your quote of $1.03 is right on the money and what suburb of Toronto did you live in ? For me I lived in Etobicoke way back in the early 60’s.
lwjNovember 17, 2010 at 10:56 pm #44656tonygKeymasterI lived in Burlington and worked in Mississauga, just around the corner from Etobicoke. I thawed out several years ago.
November 18, 2010 at 4:15 pm #44657stogerParticipantBut are the shows not Thursday and Friday the 3rd/4th rather than the 4th/5th?

My research says as follows:
From Levon’s web site
The Levon Helm Band will be at
The Beacon Theatre, NYC
November 26th and 27th, 2010
Harrah’s Atlantic City 2/4/11
Massey Hall 3/4/11 & 3/5/11
Center For The Arts SUNY-Buffalo 3/6/11From Massey Hall web site
Mar 04 Massey Hall Levon Helm’s Ramble On The Road with Lucinda Williams
Mar 05 Massey Hall Levon Helm’s Ramble On The Road with Lucinda WilliamsFrom Inside Job’s post
THE TOUR-
I do have at least a little solid info on the tour front. We will definitely be doing two dates in Toronto opening for Levon Helm at Massey Hall on March 4 & 5.lwj

lwjRow F left-center (good political karma) for me lwj, how’d you do without special American Express pre-sale credentials?
November 20, 2010 at 2:06 am #44661ruglesParticipantI am row N on the right.
Good, but not great.
Massey is a fantastic venue, my favourite venue in Toronto. Sound is usually very good.
There is a fantastic bar in the basement, go down there and checkout all the posters from concerts going back 100 years or something.
November 20, 2010 at 1:29 pm #44662LWjettaParticipantHere’s mine stoger( you beat me by one row) and rugles

Delivery Selection: MailYour tickets will be sent by Canada Post and should be received within 10 business days.If you require your tickets sooner, please select a more appropriate delivery method.I assume you both bought tickets for night one only. If I want to attend night 2 as well I could snag Row D for Saturday.( single tickets are more plentiful).
In the basement hall that rugles mentioned the merch. table is there. Maybe Susannah (with an h) will be there to sell us the super deluxe “Blessed” set.
Should be a great show. Levon is 70 years young-Maybe I’ve seen him before in concert-way back when he was the drummer for Ronnie Hawkings and the Hawks in the early 60’s.
lwjNovember 20, 2010 at 10:00 pm #44663tntracyParticipantDang! $430 for 2 tickets from a ticket broker – and the seats aren’t even that great! 😯

Unbelievable gouging, considering tickets just went on sale yesterday.
I bought mine direct from the venue.
The fact that you were looking, does this mean you are contemplating a flight from Atlanta to Toronto ?
