96/24 FLACs?

    My apologies if this has ever been asked before. I did a quick search.

    Are 96/24 versions of Lucinda Williams’ albums available for download anywhere? Or, are there any plans to make them available on sites such as HDTracks?

    Welcome to the forum Fraser!

    As far as I know, there are no high-definition downloads of Lu’s music available. As far as potential future availability, TOverby will have to respond to that… 😉

    I look forward to the day I can get Lucinda Williams’ music in a high-rez format. There’s no chance of getting SACD or DVD-Audio discs anymore since those formats are pretty much dead, so 96/24 downloads appear to be the way to go.

    I’ve tried going the vinyl route but the cats took a shining to the covers.

    Yeah, I have purchased some stuff from HDTracks & continue to get their e-newsletter. That format (96/24) seems to be the best available compromise between the convenience of digital & the “purity” of analog.
