I just recently found this video…a channel Amos set up but looks like he has abandoned. Features a bandmember on banjo and Amos’s good friend and fellow musician Mutlu singing harmonies. Stellar stuff.
I love this man.

Lafayette, enough to detour North East over to Scranton, PA to see Amos # 2 one day before seeing # 1 JM in Windsor on your top 5 list.
I see a possibility for me to see him in Burlington, VT on July 10th.
I didn’t realize Amos appeared on one of my favorite shows Austin City Limits-Great stuff. From his My Space tour list he is really selling out his shows early including DavidinMaine’s home town of Portland.
Certainly exciting to see the …… connect with Lucinda.
lwjJune 5, 2010 at 7:36 pm #40984LafayetteParticipantHA! One of my good mellenbud friends live near Scranton…that’s a nine & 1/2 hour drive, lwj!
I would love to see an Amos show with you (!), however, I would be all over the map trying to make that particular show. I’m not sure if you noticed, Amos is opening a few shows for Dave Matthews, with that being one of them. My recommendation, for your first Amos show, is to see him in a more intimate venue.
He sells out quite a few shows. The Nashville show in March sold out in one day.

Yeah, good point. The Burlington, VT show takes place at a new venue called “Higher Ground” A large standing room only ballroom. Hopefully Amos will get to Canada some day.
Not sure if you have seen the following article when Amos appeared (with Tift Merritt opening ) at Lincoln Hall in Chicago earlier this year in April, but here is a great quote from the article.
QUOTE:
There’s a sense of humbleness you feel when listening to Lee sing—and a sense of rejuvenation—that clearly makes him a perfect chicken noodle remedy for the soul.
END QUOTE:
Here is the article with Amos sporting a tie, plus other photos, and a video of Black River.

June 22, 2010 at 9:55 pm #40986LWjettaParticipantLafayette, I saw your crying “smilie” on the Bob. D and JM reply to the poster.
Maybe this will cheer you up, that is if you don’t already have the compilation album that I just posted under Lu Records.
The Village-Positively 4th Street.
One of your Top 5 i.e. Amos sings “Little Bit O’Rain”
Have a listen to the sample. Sounds great.http://www.amazon.com/Village-Celebration-Music-Greenwich/dp/B002MBAJ60/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1277243201&sr=1-1

Lucky, lucky you.

lwjALL of my JM friends know I have been wishing on a star that Amos would be added to Farm Aid lineup. I had high hopes with him opening a few dates for Dave Matthews (since it seems many artists are invited by the Farm Aid board. i.e. Willie, John, Neil, Dave).
I had text messages and friends IM me with the news that Amos was in lineup. I have house guests this week, my sister visiting from LA with her sons. I screeched (much like I did when I saw Lu was opening for JM in 2008) out loud, when i read the news, with everyone still asleep. My sister heard me…upstairs from where I was sitting.
I am a happy Farm Aid camper.
September 8, 2010 at 2:49 am #40989LafayetteParticipantBrandi Carlile & Amos Lee duet on “Blue Eyes Cryin’ In The Rain.” AMAZING.
My pipe dream is one day I will see Amos & Lu duet together, live, in living color.
September 10, 2010 at 8:03 pm #40990tntracyParticipantBrief article about Amos Lee’s new album, Mission Bell w/ mention of Lu duet…

September 12, 2010 at 3:46 am #40991LafayetteParticipantThanks so much for posting this! There are more guest appearances on this record than all of his past three! Pieta Brown, too!
Something tells me I need to stick around for Willie’s set at Farm Aid. OR, maybe Willie will come out during Amos’s…
September 13, 2010 at 5:58 am #40992LafayetteParticipantAnother Amos Lee promo article including a Lu blurb.

November 2nd in Buffalo (3/4 of an hour drive for me but a 20,000 seat hockey arena is not very intimate.Dave Matthews Band has just announced they will be making the first stop of their Fall 2010 US arena tour at HSBC Arena on Tuesday, November 2, with special guest Amos Lee.
Tickets will go on sale Saturday, September 25 at 10am. Tickets are $80, $70 and $39.50, which includes $2.50 facility fee.
Comments that I have read say that Dave Mathews should be opening for Amos.
Since my concert budget is dwindling, I’ll go for the freebee Farm Aid web cast in Milwaukee on October 2nd and catch in no particular order: Amos, John M., Willie, Dave M. band and NEIL.

p.s. Enjoy the football game this afternoonSeptember 21, 2010 at 6:24 am #40994LafayetteParticipantHopefully Amos will get close to you when the record releases and he tours behind it. I would think he will be out on the road to promote. Hold out for him headlining in an intimate venue. He has played The Ark in Ann Arbor in the past.
Farm Aid will be airing on DirecTV beginning at 6:00 p.m. which equates to about the time (I would think) Kenny Chesney hits the stage.
The webcast on the FA website should be awesome.
Look for us, we have 6th row center seats.
September 30, 2010 at 5:05 am #40995LafayetteParticipantlwj…is this show near you? Didn’t Lu play this venue recently? last year or so?
