Hi everyone. You might like to know that you can watch highlights of Lu’s gig at Cambridge, UK on the BBC iplayer for the next seven days.
I’ve watched it on the TV showing and I’d be interested to know what others think. Did she seem nervous to you, and was it a weird booking considering it was a folk festival? Did the fact that there was TV crew there the reason she only smiled about once – a sign she probably wasn’t enjoying herself that much?
I watched it and thought it was a very flat performance. Something was wrong; I know there was an (unshown) false start to the show due to the presence of the photographers.
I don’t think it was weird booking her for a folk festival but it does seem that she’s heading a lot more down the ‘rock’ route of late.
I agree it was very flat. On the Cambridge Festival website there was a lot of negative comments so that was what made me think Lucinda picked up on that from the crowd and that affected her performance.
All in all, it’s a shame it was this concert that went out on TV here in the UK. One for the cheerleadersonly perhaps!
