My wife and I attended the Harrahs Lake Tahoe show on August 29, 2009. Great, great show, and a very small venue. We were in the 8th row, about 20 feet from the stage. This was the 4th time I had seen her, the first show being the Fillmore in 1999. I love the backing vocals of this band, they are so tight. Here is the set list (very close to being in order):
Big Red Sun Blues
Drunken Angel
Real Live Bleeding Fingers
Joy
Metal Firecracker
Side of the Road (just LW and Chet)
Over Time
People Talkin
Get Right with God
My, My, My
Out of Touch
Long Way to the Top (Encore)Had the good fortune to be able to shake hands with Lucinda as she was getting on an elevator before the show. Also met Butch before the show, and spoke with David and Butch after the show. I DJ at a community radio station in my home town of Nevada City, California, KVMR FM 89.5 They were kind enough to send me a Buick 6 cd so we can get it out over the airwaves, and also provided some copies to offer for our upcoming membership drive.
“People Talkin” is one of my favorites, and I had never heard it live before. Erics guitar work on this was superb. Thanks for a great show LW My wife and I were there for a small wedding anniversary get away weekend, so it really made it special.
Congrats on tonights wedding ceremony. Keep on making us smile!

🙂October 1, 2009 at 8:57 am #40670AnyseParticipantWhat a wonderful show. I got to see one of my IDOLS for the first time ever. She is splended and only 2 years younger than I am! The show went well and, when she screwed up the capo position and such (twice), she recovered with a human touch that is so wonderful to be a part of and to share in out laughter.
My one complaint is the lighting. The red was so intense that it was impossible to get a good picture of her at all! I took well over 200 photos and the only way to make any of them look good at all was to just make them gray-scale! Darn. She also wore a red outfit and her hair was also red! Beautiful but so hard to photograph. Oh well . . .
How can I get a personalized and autographed picture of her?
She literally saved my life when I was tormented with suicidal ideation due to a chronic illness that will be with me until I die. I would listen to as well as sing “Sweet Old World.” When doing so I cried in horrendous psychological pain, crying, sobbing and such for a few years. This song, her voice, her grace, saved me! Thank you Lucinda!
