Any one heard Pieta Brown’s new CD (released day before yesterday) “Remember The Sun?” I just got it today – it is awesome, IMHO.
If you like Lu (& if not, why are you here? 😉 🙂 ), check Ms. Brown out, particular her new one, and her first one – I think you might like her.

P.S. I meant to add that one of Lucinda’s former guitarists, Bo Ramsey, plays on these CDs and produced the newest one..
October 5, 2007 at 12:45 pm #39672TimParticipantTom, if I’m not mistaken, I believe Pieta is Bo Ramsey’s daughter. She is married to Greg Brown who does alot of work with Bo.
October 5, 2007 at 1:33 pm #39673tntracyParticipantActually, she is Greg Brown’s daughter, not wife. And, Bo Ramsey co-produced her first album & produced her second album as well.
My wife and I are seeing her in a couple of weeks at a small club in Decatur, GA called Eddie’s Attic – we have a table reserved up front & I am really looking forward to it as I am a big fan of hers.

October 5, 2007 at 1:38 pm #39674TimParticipantThanks for the correction, Tom. Let us know how the show goes.
October 5, 2007 at 2:36 pm #39675TimParticipantTom, according to Bo Ramsey’s website he is touring with Pieta. Looks like you’ll be seeing him in person in Decatur.
January 15, 2008 at 9:40 pm #39676luwdooParticipantPieta is Bo Ramseys wife and Greg Browns daughter. Bo is several years older than her!
January 28, 2008 at 1:26 pm #39677ScottParticipantMy wife and I caught Pieta and Bo last Friday night in Davenport Iowa. The show was “fantabulous”! Pieta is a good singer with a unique delivery. Her songwriting seems to be improving with every record. Her new album is very good. But it was Bo Ramsey who blew me away. Not an unnecessary note the whole night. It was a clinic on guitar tone and ambiance. I remember him taking some heat on the old Lu site for being a run of the mill guitar player ( the guy must’ve bee a Morlix groupie). The guy couldn’t have been more wrong. This guy is a master. I was never sure who (Ramsey or Sexton) played what on Essence, but after seeing him live I can credit each with what they contributed to that project, and Bo’s playing was anything but run of the mill. Catch them if they come though your town. Scott.

Wow! I didn’t know that. He’s done quite well for himself, then. 😉 I have to admit I was somewhat mesmerized by Pieta’s striking beauty at the show. 😳
The show itself was great – I agree with Scott that Bo’s guitar work was fantastic. Unfortunately, however, for some reason there were only about 8 people in the club to see the show. I felt bad for Pieta & Bo, playing to a near-empty house, but they nonetheless put on a great, full show for the few of us that had sense enough to be there! 😀 Plus, it made it super easy to get her autograph after the show when she wandered by me in the lobby.
And, thanks for the link to the article, Lefty.
