See http://www.abpresents.com.au for details and ticketing of Lucinda’s Australia tour. Tour begins April 1 in Melbourne, and loops through Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane, before ending in Byron Bay.

Paul, how do you ferret these things out? At least High Road is partially on to this; it has listed only North American dates in the past I think. Would that my US spring break coincided with this early Aussie fall slate. . . Can we count on your attendance and reports?

It does not require a ferret. Just some logic:

    1. We knew Lucinda was playing somewhere in Australia before the announced Byron Bay festival.
    2. It’s a reasonable deduction that the “somewhere” would be ticketed by Ticketmaster Australia (or Ticketek).
    3. Do a frequent surf of Ticketmaster Australia. On Friday, that site showed ticketing for the Melbourne show. That screen also shows a presale from “Adrian Bohm Presents”.
    4. Do a “Google” on “Adrian Bohm”, and you reach the posted link.

I do NOT expect to attend those shows. As you know, I am currently unemployed, seeking work. If I don’t find a job by April, I will be reluctant to spend $2K-$3K for airfare, hotels, tickets, etc. If I do find a job, it would be very difficult to take vacation from a new job. Sorry, mate, someone from down-under will need to review those shows.

I will be attending the Melbourne show at Hamer Hall. Have another (better) festival on the same weekend as the blues and roots fest, so won’t be seeing her there.

Hamer Hall is an awesome venue, the acoustics are amazing and the crowd/artist really feel connected. I have seen Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson (with Ryan Bingham supporting), PJ Harvey, and Patti Smith there in 08 – all amazing shows. I am really looking forward to this Australian Tour, haven’t seen Lu live since Berlin in 03.

Anyway, will report with full set list, review etc after the show.

Anyone know how we can get access to the presale tickets? They go on sale tomorrow morning – I don’t want to miss out on good seats.

they’ve annouced a second show in melbourne. I’ve bought tickets to both shows, so you’ll all get two show’s set lists and reviews.

hopefully she varies the set list up a bit between shows. i’m very much looking foward to this – can’t wait til april 09!

G’day …. I’m new to this forum and also from Melbourne. I’ve only listened to Lucinda for a couple of years now and I’m really impressed. Enough so to purchase tickets to her 2nd show here. Looking forward to seeing her and her band play Hamer Hall.

Her version of AC/DC’s “It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll” is awesome. I somehow can never forget the “alternative” we use to sing all those years ago …. “It’s a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll.” ……. lol

I’ve got tix to the first Sydney show at the Enmore Theatre on April 4. It is a really small venue where I saw Keb Mo and Buddy Guy last year.

Can’t wait – will be my first Lucinda show! 😀 I’ll do my best to review and report back on this forum.
