    http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2008/11/jimi_hendrixs_drummer_mitch_mi.html

someone came over to my desk this morning to say that his friend went to this show last sat in portland and that mitch played for about 30 seconds before tossing his sticks (i heard rave reviews about the los angeles show/that they played scorching guitar for 3 hours and that they plan another tour next year)
this same person tried to get mitch’s autograph, but mitch just turned away from him….
i guess he wasn’t feeling well in retrospect.

i’m with betty davis, this getting old isn’t for sissies

This is the first forum that beat me to this post. The last member of the Experience gone – anyone else feel a little old and exposed today?

He was a really original drummer. Very few drummers add more than a beat to a band but MM did – He was more of a soloist than a part of the rhythm section, leaving Noel to provide the pulse, Mitch played between the beats, giving Jimi the license to go wherever he wanted to in the band.

I just hate people dying – some more than others.
