HitsDailyDouble.com Reports: LaMontagne, Keane, Lucinda Bow in Top 10, AC/DC, HIgh School Musical 3 Up Next

Here is the excerpt concerning Lu:
Lost Highway roots-rock veteran Lucinda Williams’ Little Honey is the other Top 10 debut at #9, with Arista/RMG’s Jennifer Hudson (#6), Atlantic’s Kid Rock (#7), Def Jam/IDJ’s Ne-Yo (#8) and Hear Music/Concord’s James Taylor Covers album (#10) rounding out the leader board.

I could not be happier! This is just the news I was hoping for! This has really brightened my week. Damnit, she has deserved a Top 10 LP for the longest time.

Of course, nothing will be confirmed until Billboard officially confirms their own chart rankings, but if HitsDailyDouble reports it then it is near-definite. Sometimes their figures are a little off – “Little Honey” could be even higher than #9. We’ll have to see.

As long as she’s in the Top 10 I’m happy. She truly deserves it.

Here is a look at the sales chart itself, finalized as per HitsDailyDouble: http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi

Wow, this is great (preliminary) news. If it pans out for Lu, I will be very happy for her! 😀

Hmm. Good for her. I’m sort of surprised. I figured anticipation usually works in her advantage and with a little over a year after her last album I thought she might struggle with sales on this one. I’m glad she’s not having any trouble though.

here is the blurb from billboard.com

Country/rock vet Lucinda Williams’ “Little Honey” (Lost Highway) starts at No. 9 with 35,000. Her 2007 album, “West,” began at No. 14, but sold more in its first week, raking in 57,000.

Here in the UK, where there is no advertising and Lucinda gets minimal airplay, if any at all, the album made its debut at number 51 on the first week of release.
