Dear Mr. Inside(Tom),
Instead of shouting out my requests like a crazed fanatic during the shows, I would like to respectfully submit them at this time. For your consideration: I Envy the Wind(doubtful because of New Haven), Blue, Bus to Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, Can’t Let Go, Greenville, Jackson, Still I Long for Your Kiss, The Nights Too Long, Side of the Road, Something About What Happens When We Talk, Little Angel,Little Brother, World Without Tears, and last but not least, Overtime.
I will be attending the Albany, Toronto, and Rochester shows. Please consider passing my requests on to Lucinda. NOTE: I LOVE the new stuff, but it would be awesome to see any one of my requests crack the setlists. Thank you in advance for mixing it up a bit, especially for the back to back shows of 10/11 and 10/12.Thank You for your time and consideration,

Lu seems content to let her past lie, playing ‘Changed The Locks’ as her only pre-Car Wheels tracks, except for the exceptional shows where she played full versions of her older albums. Not to harp on this, it’s her perogative after all, but I’m staying home in silent protest. From the number of posts I’ve seen about shows being downgraded to smaller venues (how often has this happened so far? There’s still lots of tickets for Toronto at this point…), it seems I may not be the only one. Looking forward to the new album, but still playing those older ones too. Enjoy the shows!

All I ask(selfishly, I admit), is for the band and Lu to consider mixing up the set lists. Especially, for the encores. I’ll have a great time at the shows either way. Looking forward to the fabulous sound in the Egg.
Come on and give me…

October 8, 2008 at 2:42 am #37474Disco StuParticipantI understand that the chance of Lucinda responding to a thread like this by breaking out an obscure song due to a fan request is about as slim as the chance of, well, the Cubs winning the World Series…but just the same, you know what would really shock me? If she broke out All I Want.
Barring that, it’s always been my dream to hear I Just Wanted To See You So Bad…
October 8, 2008 at 11:25 am #37475JohnInTOParticipantI’ve been there and heard that, Disco Stu – the urgency and joy in that song, especially live – ahhhhh – that’s why I am just not very happy with the way LW sets up her sets these days……
October 8, 2008 at 7:06 pm #37476jackstrawParticipanti’d venture a guess your chances of catching an obscure breakout are
relative to where in the tour you catch her. further on i’d say the chances
increase because if nothing else, she does not even approach being static in
her presentation. i realized on the way home from felt forum, i mean, that
theater under msg, last friday night was the first show in the past 17 or
18 i didn’t hear either 1-fruits of my labor, 2-ventura, 3-those 3 days. i
really missed foml but the new record’s taking precedence right now. and
rightfully so. for me, the stuff i’ve heard is really strong, much more so
than west but that’s just my take. and next time i get a foml, i’ll appreciate it
that much more.October 8, 2008 at 7:52 pm #37477zanthusParticipantThe Wilco website http://www.wilcoworld.com) has a feature where you can put in a request for a song at a show you will be attending.
