Just a heads up for the Mother Hip fans here. They did a “dream setlist” contest and have released the show for download. Over 3 hours of greatness. Boy I wish this band would come to Minneapolis!

If you haven’t checked out Kiss the Crystal Flake you are missing out. One of the most under rated bands in history.

Favorite line from Tim Bluhm at the end of No Name Darrell –

“Someone’s smokin some backyard boogie in here man – good morning – my probation officer isn’t going to like that”

Hey, the Phil & friends have been epic to say the least. Should be a great show! And thanks to him for posting lossless recordings of his shows. Hint Hint to anyone monitoring/listening. Have a wonderful time. I’m hitting Lu at both First Ave shows and Duluth, MN. Possibly traveling to other neighboring venues as time allows. Absolutely can’t wait!

I’m sure you know about the Skinny Singers but if not Tim Bluhm and Jackie + band. There are some torrents available. Good stuff.

You sound like a “Bay Area” fan. How about that Charlie Hunter? He has relocated to New York but he is for sure under rated/flying under the radar to say the least.

Do not miss this gentleman and his trio. Truly innovative.

Thanks for the reply… Keep spreading the love…
