Hey fellow Lu fans… Question: Which of the two live CD sets are best? The NYC or El Rey show? I am only going to order one for now, but need help choosing which to get. Any info would be greatly appreciated! I assume the correct place to order is the “Kafaula” records site, right?

I can’t speak from personal experience as I have only the LA set, but I have heard it is the better of the two. I think it’s very good, but can’t compare it to the NY set.

I have both sets and I find myself listening to the LA shows more. The NYC shows are good too but the LA shows are more solid.
I bought the LA performance of the self titled album first, but ended up getting the rest of the 5 album set from the New York shows. There are a lot of “breakdowns” in the NYC performances. But anymore the breakdowns are just part of the show. As I’ve written in here ten times her total repeat of Like a Rose at the El Ray in Los Angelos is the highlight of the series for me. I don’t think you can go too wrong with either set. The New York shows all sound great, and I trust the folks in here that the rest of the LA shows are even better, I’ll have to get them.
