Long shows

There was an outdoor show in Portland in 2005 that went over 3 hours. A show in Berlin, Germany in 2003 went close to 3 hours if not over it. I was at a show in Northampton, MA in 2004 on a Sunday night where they just kept coming back out; I think Flappy was negotiating with the theatre to try and let them keep playing. It was a magical night. The only downer for me was when Doug hit a bad note after the first verse of “Blue” and Lucinda stopped the song. She pulled him on the cheek and later kissed him. She asked the audience if they wanted to hear it again or that she could do another song. The audience was emphatic about wanting to hear it again. Lucinda didn’t make it thru the first verse, stopped the song and said, “We’ll do another song”. It was disappointing to me because I think it is a Great song, but I guess she just wasn’t feeling it.
