The best I can come up with is that her lover has fed her all these lines and isn’t backing it up. He starts playing mind games and it’s beginning to mess with her emotions and she’s having a hard time understanding why he would do something like that.That’s what I take from it.

I had heard of her back in the 90’s but thought she was typical bad country music. Hadn’t heard the music, just assumed.
I picked up the Tribute to Hank Williams in 2001 and fell in love with her version of “Cold, Cold Heart”. After that I picked up “Car Wheels” and “Essence”. I’ve been a big fan ever since. I put her up there with Dylan. I think she’s amazing and there aren’t many female artists that can touch her.
