Are the sessions for the next record going to be at Village Recorders? Also, can you provide any info on who the musicians and producer(s) will be on the sessions? Thank you in advance, and for all the help and info you give us.
Yes -it will be at the Village Recorders again. Great studio and Lucinda is really comfortable there. It’s kind of become her home studio. The band is going to be her band, with possibly someone coming in to do keys as needed. The production will be Lucinda, Eric Liljestrand who was the engineer on West and Tom Overby. They did the Fats Domino tribute song that way back in Aug. (and Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys, for a benefit album which hasn’t been released yet), and everybody really loved how that worked out, so it made sense to do the next record that way. I can also tell you that everyone is very excited about this record.
That is great to hear! Best of luck with the sessions. Hope everything goes well and the record comes out before the end of the year. Don’t forget about “Well, Well, Well”.
