July 26, 2007 at 1:45 am #32931edolexaParticipantWhat an awesome show at Bushkill. First time seeing Lucinda live and wow – what sound quality at this venue – Lucinda herself even commented on the sound being so good.
I heard several songs that I never heard before – I would love to get a setlist from this show…I know someone out there’s got it…what was the opener ? That is a sweet song!
See y’all in NYC for the “Car Wheels” show – bought my tix today!
July 26, 2007 at 11:59 am #32932edgeParticipantI was there. Good show, porly attended but I expected that. Set list was sure different but she has been mixing it up. Here’s what I remember, probably not in the right order. I’m sure Ventura was the opener and and “Mama don’t let your …” was first encore song but rest is uncertain but the order may be close.
Ventura
Fruits of My LAbor
Pineola
Overtime
Fancy Funeral
Big Red Sun Blues
The Nights Too long
Fats Domino song- anyone have the title?
When I Stop Dreaming (Charlie Louvin song with Charlie)
Get Right with God (also with Charlie)
Unsuffer Me
Honeybee (new song)
Joy (with Doors Riders on the storm, The End meanderings and some led zepplin/heartbreaker riffs)
Come On
Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys
Come to me Baby (Howlin wolf)
I asked for water he gave me gasoline (Howlin wolf)There are a lot of other songs I’d hoped to hear and, although I enjoyed the covers, 4 was a bit much. I thought the show was on track to be a great one until about the middle when Charlie joined her on stage. Nothing really to do with Charlie, I just enjoyed the first half better. The songs from the self titled album were a real treat. As far as the 2nd half songs Unsuffer Me was really awesome. I wish I could get that on tape.
July 26, 2007 at 12:46 pm #32933edolexaParticipantYour order may be a little off (seems to me Pineola was a little later in the show) but is much appreciated!
Yes, Unsuffer Me was freaking amazing. I also would love to get that on tape. Anybody ?
July 26, 2007 at 3:20 pm #32934DonnaParticipantLUCINDA ROCKED THE HOUSE AT THE MOUNTAIN LAUREL CENTER IN BUSHKILL PA. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! GREAT VENUE. HOPE SHE COMES BACK AGAIN !!
July 27, 2007 at 12:40 am #32935bike50nowParticipantA great show by Lucinda. I, too, liked the early part of the show.
The pace of the show changed from the second duet with Charlie Louvin onward. The show became driven with high energy and lots of intensity. Lucinda gave the audience what they wanted…she read them well.

July 27, 2007 at 2:15 am #32937edgeParticipantHey George loved the pictures, thanks. So did you like the 1st half better? I love the blues, rock n roll, etc. and thought Unsuffer Me was really, really excellent but, while I’ll agree the 2nd half was more intense guitar music, I really thought something was lacking compared to the first half. I it seemed they were just playing the songs, not as emotionally into it in the 2nd half. Normally I’m waiting for the uptempo stuff but with Lucinda I’d trade Come On, Water/Gasoline, etc. for Lake Charles, Bus to Baton Rouge, Side of the Road in a sec.
It was really a good show but with someone as good as her its inevitable that you walk away wanting more. That keeps us coming back.
July 27, 2007 at 3:53 am #32938BettyParticipantWow, great pics George, thanks for posting! I loved the whole show from beginning to end. I thought the sound was fabulous and coming from the back to front of stage was intense, the crowd was jammin! (Thank God, cuz I could hardly sit in my seat another second). I thought the entire show was perfect and look forward to another show too, as you said leaves you wanting more……
