Thank you Lucinda and your entire band (especially Bill on guitar – wow) for such an incredible show at McCaw Hall Monday night. It was my first experience at one of your live performances. I was introduced to your music about a year ago by a friend who has followed your music for many years.
The sound was spectacular. Unsuffer Me was spellbinding. Come On made me blush and cheer. Are You Alright made me cry. Your rapport with the audience showed me your sweet side and I wish all the idiot critics that pretend to know your work had been there with us to see an amazing show that no one wanted to end. We shared your chills of joy and appreciation of the bands performance. You gave us so much and, of course, left us craving more.
Come back to Seattle! We love you!
Thanks,
John K.

The band had the same personnel as from April and early May: Doug Pettibone (guitars), David Sutton (bass), and Butch Norton (drums). For this show only, they were joined by Bill Frisell, the noted jazz guitarist, who worked on “West”, and now lives in Seattle. Bill played all the songs on a Fender jazz guitar, improvising notes to complement the sounds of Doug, David, and Butch. The venue was a beautiful indoor concert hall, with dramatic ceiling lighting, offering images of starlight and constellations. The setlist:
1. Rescue
2. Ventura
3. Are You Alright?
4. Fancy Funeral
5. Fruits of My Labor
6. Blue
7. Where Is My Love?
8. Too Kool To Be Forgotten
9. Unsuffer Me
10. Essence
11. Come On
12. Honeybee
13. Joy
14. Everything Has Changed
15. West
16. Marching the Hate Machines into the SunSeptember 17, 2008 at 5:44 pm #32718dogloveParticipantThat show was amazing and I am sorry to say I missed Bumpershoot. 🙁 On the lst tour, Lu skipped Seattle, but played ORE and I missed that too.
Are you aware that she is at the Showbox (downtown, not Sodo) on Nov. 13 & 14th?
It will be rockin’, I think they are general admission only, so be there early! 😀

Glad you enjoyed the show.

I am very anxious to see Lu at the Showbox on Nov. 13 & 14th. I was out of town for Bumpershoot and have not seen her since 6/07.
It is going to be a joyous show!
Seattle loves Lucinda!!! And Bill Frisell!
