Saw an awesome show in Ann Arbor and one song really struck a chord. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the song and after listenning to her CD’s, nothing sounds like it although it may be 2 Kool 2 B 4-Gotton, however, it sounded way better in concert, and I remember, before she played the song she called it a Hip-a-Billy song.
Was it perhaps 2 Kool, but with a Hip hop twang to it?? ❓
If anyone has an idea, I would be very appreciative.April 25, 2007 at 12:59 am #32654AnonymousInactiveLu introduced Righteously as a “Hip-a-billy” song in Toronto last week. Then proceded to play it very up tempo from the version on the record “World w/o Tears”. So maybe thats the one your looking for 😀

song is her “forced” single from World Without Tears. When she performed at Jazz fest NOLA 2004 she was pissed off and complaining about having to play her “single”. Now she is refering to it as her “hip-a=billy” song. Amazing what a good agent and Love can do for a girl,
She is so happy right now, I have no words to describe. She just keeps takling about sex and happines, she even got the crowd to clap and sing along. (wierd for Lu) I am almost as giddy just seeing her two shows in NOLA!!!!! Yes, I am on cloud 9May 3, 2007 at 9:39 pm #32660TiggsParticipantYeh in NOLA she called it her Hip-a-billy song and she said the same thing in Houston.
Angel- I am 100% sure I was standing next to you outside at the bus. Were you with a guy that had CD’s down his shirt? I know that’s a funny thing to ask, but I thought you were standing with his guy who pulled out a stack of cds from his shirt to have them signed…LOL….
Anyway, both NOLA shows were kick a$$ and Houston was 100% mellow-the whole crowd stayed seated I got yelled at for standing up b/c I was in the front row “SIT THE &*%$ DOWN!” Oops…my bad!
She seems so so happy. Sex and love and beer y’all…that’s what life is about!
