Does anyone have tabs for Like A Rose, Fruits Of My Labor, People Talkin, or World Without Tears?
April 15, 2007 at 1:11 am #32386All I AskParticipantI know how to play all of these songs but since you’re a low life scum bag if you were on fire I wouldn’t piss on you. I’ll bet there’s more folks on this forum who can play ’em too but they wouldn’t help you either because they know sick, twisted loser when they read one. Fuck off and die.

umm you have issues. for real. Just because I don’t like Imus and have lukewarm feelings for West that makes me a low life scumbag? Geez, get a life.
April 16, 2007 at 4:50 pm #32388All I AskParticipantHahahahaha ! Issues ! You are so stupid you can’t even reply to what I’m saying. You go off ona tangent about ‘West’. This indicates that you can’t process what you read and therfore have no hope of ever getting over your mental retardation.
April 16, 2007 at 10:31 pm #32389ripleyParticipantYou know, you are very immature. I have never made personal attacks about anyone on this board. You have said nothing but mean things to me for no reason. You haven’t given me a reason why you think I’m a scumbag, you just keep saying it.
How was I supposed to respond? I know of two things that people seem to dislike me for on this board, which are my views on West and Imus. I assumed that those where the reasons you find me to be a scumbag.
If you are going to attack someone, have th decency to explain why..
Also, I am about to complete a masters program and will go on to a PHD program. I would hardly say I have mental retardation.

i’ve never seen a tab for the lead guitar parts, which would be nice. when i’m at a show, i watch doug almost as much as lu…never really picked anything up. he’s got such a great style.
good luck with the songs.[/i]April 30, 2007 at 1:12 pm #32391GretschmanParticipantMay I be the first to lend the talented Mr(s) Ripley some suppport. Surely everyone is entitled to an opinion which should be expressed and received without prejudice. Disagree by all means but keep the abuse to yourself.
Lu’s songs are structurally pretty basic and essentially easy to play but the later stuff will not sound right unless you use the right effects – particularly a nice tremolo. Ears are better than tabs anyway as those who publish them are generally more adept on computer than guitar. Sadly ability on computer is no substitute for aural understanding and the one without the other just does not work so the result is a lot of dross.
Capo is compulsory on Lu’s stuff as like all folk guitarists she prefers keys with simple fingerings and open strings. For example ‘I lost it’ live is in B flat but it is played with A major fingerings with a capo on 1st fret. When you understand that the rest is pretty easy.
